Get Paid to Learn!
REALLY! EARN WHILE YOU LEARN.
RRCU is thrilled to announce we've teamed up with Zogo, a mobile app that teaches you financial literacy and rewards you for doing so!
Thanks to this partnership, RRCU members (and non-members) will have access to a fun, simplified way of learning (or refreshing your knowledge) about personal finance and a way to get paid while doing it. Earn $5, $10, and $15 gift cards to top retailers as you go.
On average, each module is five bits of information, followed by five questions, and completed in under 2 minutes. Modules cover everything from budgeting to the stock market and so much more!
Think you already know everything you need to achieve financial wellness? Then, this app can be an excellent refresher you can access while waiting in line to pick up kids or during commercial breaks of your favorite show.
Look for "Zogo: Learn & Earn" on our website, in the app store on your smart phone, or access Zogo through your Home/Mobile Banking login. Use access code: RRCU

Collect Payments with Autobooks
Good news, Commercial Members!
Soon, you can log into your RRCU online/mobile banking to handle billing and payments, and other business needs. So, get ready to dump that obscure app or expensive (and complex) software you might be using now.
With a Commercial account, you'll find the functionality you've been searching for with Autobooks. Just select Autobooks from the main menu. After you enroll (most approvals happen in just a few minutes), you'll be able to easily send an online invoice or receive a digital payment — in-app or via a shared link to your secure payment form.
It's up to you how you want to receive payment. Some small businesses are set up for sending invoices for services rendered — others prefer to be paid on the spot. Either way, you'll find that using Autobooks is a straightforward and affordable way to accommodate more customers by providing them with more ways to pay.
Here's more good news!
If you need accounting and reporting functionality for your business, Autobooks has you covered. And unlike that other frustrating accounting platform, Autobooks was designed for the more straightforward needs of business owners — not their accountants. That means you can get started in no time!
Want to learn more about Autobooks? Feel free to contact one of our Commercial Service Representatives.

Freddy the Fraud Finder
An old scam is raising its ugly head again. Read on to know what to look for with this scam.
An "Online friend" asks the victim to borrow money using their credit card. The online friend/scammer claims he/she will send a payment to the credit card company the next day to cover the advance. The victim requests a large cash advance using their credit card. This cash advance is usually for the credit card limit (the advance is usually for thousands of dollars).
A payment is indeed sent to the credit card company from the scammer the next day as promised. The victim's credit card balance is reduced, and the amount becomes available to the account holder.
The day after the payment is made, the scammer once again requests the victim loan them the balance available on their card with the promise to make a payment the following day. The process is repeated until the payments begin to return unpaid from the paying bank. Although these payments are ACH or share drafts and considered authorized and sufficient, the ACH payments are returned as fraud on another victim’s account! The payments are backed off the credit card, with no recourse for the cardholder.
In the end, the victim's credit card is over the limit for thousands of dollars. And, since the victim did authorize the cash advance and received the money, they can't dispute the advance as not authorized. Remember, never give money unless you do not expect it to be repaid, because chances are you will not get your money back.

2022 Annual Business Meeting Notice
Red River Employees Credit Union's 79th Annual Meeting will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2022, 6:00 p.m., in the lobby at the Summerhill Road Office located at 4405 Summerhill Road Texarkana, TX.
The Business Meeting will be strictly business with limited member attendance; there will be no entertainment, give-a-ways, or prize drawings; the election will be by acclamation since there were no nominations submitted by petition.
In accordance with the credit union bylaws, the Nominating Committee of Red River Employees Federal Credit Union filed the following individuals to serve three-year terms: Robert Sheppard, James (Mike) Jones, and Annette Lynch. Bios are available in the RRCU Winter Newsletter.
The 2021 Annual Report will be available on our website, and copies will be available at your nearest branch lobby.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, Management and Staff, please accept our appreciation for your membership as we pledge to continue this level of service to you and your families.

Non-Visa Debit Transaction Disclosure
Red River Employees Credit Union has enabled non-Visa debit transaction processing. This means you may use your Visa-branded debit card on a PIN-Debit Network* (a non-Visa network) without using a PIN.
The non-Visa debit network for which such transactions are enabled is Accel.
Examples of the types of actions that you may be required to make to initiate a Visa transaction on your Visa-branded debit card include: signing a receipt, providing a card number over the phone or via the Internet, or swiping the card through a point-of-sale terminal.
Examples of the types of actions you may be required to make to initiate a transaction on a PIN-Debit Network include: initiating a payment directly with the biller (possibly via telephone, internet or kiosk locations), responding to a logo displayed at a payment site and choosing to direct payment through that network and having your identity verified using known information derived from an existing relationship with you instead of through the use of a PIN.
The provision of your agreement with us relating only to Visa transactions is not applicable to non-Visa transactions. For example, the additional limits on liability (sometimes referred to as Visa’s zero-liability program) and the streamlined error resolution procedures offered on Visa debit card transactions are not applicable to transactions processed on a PIN-Debit Network.
*Visa Rules generally define PIN-Debit Network as a non-Visa debit network that typically authenticates transactions by use of a personal identification number (PIN) but that is not generally known for having a card program.
