Spring 2021 RRCU Chronicle
Advancing Member Access

ITMs are Comings Soon!
Red River Credit Union will soon introduce RRCU Express ITMs (Interactive Teller Machines) to our ever-growing access points for members. ITMs have all the functionality of an ATM; and here is the exciting part, members will also have the option to talk with a local RRCU Express Teller! Through video and audio, Express Tellers will assist you with traditional drive-thru transactions, provide information and much more! That’s right - Members will be able to speak with and visually see the Express Teller – now that’s cool!
ITMs will allow RRCU to expand our member service outreach and extend hours of operation. ITMs are easy to use, an Express Teller will help guide you when you need them, or you may choose to help yourself, as usual, as an ATM transaction. With an Express Teller at your disposal, ITM/ATM lines are statistically faster than a standard ATM or drive-thru lanes. Our Express Tellers are eager to start serving our members with a smile.
Our debut ITM will be in our Summerhill Branch Lobby at 4405 Summerhill Rd. in Texarkana, Texas, later this month. Come see and try out this latest innovation in the RRCU service lineup!
More to come! In May, we expect to have two ITMs ready to go in the drive-thru at our University Branch located at 2700B University Ave. also in Texarkana. The University drive-thru will be closed during construction to begin after closing Friday, April 23rd, and the branch lobby hours will be 8AM to 6PM during the construction.
As we move into the 2020s, we will add more ITMs to our drive-thru lanes and stand-alone ATM locations. For more information about ITMs visit our website at rrcu.com.
(For members who choose to visit and conduct their financial business traditionally by walking into our lobbies, you can expect to see the same friendly staff for assistance.)

A Better Way to Pay Bills
The RRCU Bill Pay feature is better than ever with the new Bill Discovery option. Bill Discovery will search an extensive list of billers, and even your credit report*, to search for the most up-to-date list of billers identified with your information. From there, it’s a quick entry of a few key items and you’re all set. You can receive notifications about upcoming due dates and when a new biller is available to add. The best part is you’ll have just one login and password for access to all your bills. It doesn’t get much easier than this. Want to know more? Check out the details here.
* Authorizing access to your consumer credit report will not affect your credit score.

The New Mortgage Application
RRCU has updated our Mortgage application effective March 1 of this year. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (the GSEs) redesigned the Uniform Residential Loan Application (URLA) (Fannie Mae Form 1003) and created new automated underwriting system (AUS) specifications (Fannie Mae Desktop Underwriter® [DU®] Spec) to capture relevant loan application information for both hardcopy and digital applications.
If you started an application prior to March 1, we will not require the new form.
The new form requires more information upfront, but it is expected to streamline the process moving forward.
You can bring your Mortgage application to any RRCU branch or, to expedite the process, complete an online application HERE.

2021 Annual Business Meeting Notice
Red River Employees Credit Union’s 78th Annual Meeting will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2021, 6:00 p.m., in the lobby at the Summerhill Road Office located at 4405 Summerhill Road Texarkana, TX.
In an effort to limit the exposure to COVID-19 and adhere to the recommendations of our government to protect you and our staff, the number of members attending will be limited.
The Business Meeting will strictly be business; there will be no entertainment, give-a-ways, or prize drawings; the election will be by acclamation since there were no nominations submitted by petition.
In accordance with the credit union bylaws, the Nominating Committee of Red River Employees Credit Union filed the following individuals to serve three-year terms: Andrea Chewning, Steve Conner, and Fred Milton.
The 2020 Annual Report will be available on our website and copies will be available at your nearest branch location.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, Management and Staff, please accept our appreciation for your membership as we pledge to continue this level of service to you and your families.

Non-Visa Debit Transaction Disclosure
Red River Employees Credit Union has enabled non-Visa debit transaction processing. This means you may use your Visa-branded debit card on a PIN-Debit Network* (a non-Visa network) without using a PIN.
The non-Visa debit network for which such transactions are enabled is Accel.
Examples of the types of actions that you may be required to make to initiate a Visa transaction on your Visa-branded debit card include: signing a receipt, providing a card number over the phone or via the Internet, or swiping the card through a point-of-sale terminal.
Examples of the types of actions you may be required to make to initiate a transaction on a PIN-Debit Network include: initiating a payment directly with the biller (possibly via telephone, internet or kiosk locations), responding to a logo displayed at a payment site and choosing to direct payment through that network and having your identity verified using known information derived from an existing relationship with you instead of through the use of a PIN.
The provision of your agreement with us relating only to Visa transactions is not applicable to non-Visa transactions. For example, the additional limits on liability (sometimes referred to as Visa’s zero-liability program) and the streamlined error resolution procedures offered on Visa debit card transactions are not applicable to transactions processed on a PIN-Debit Network.
*Visa Rules generally define PIN-Debit Network as a non-Visa debit network that typically authenticates transactions by use of a personal identification number (PIN) but that is not generally known for having a card program.
